By - in

A very positive result for several generations of the Nest Boys in May. Six titles were won, two of them international, featuring top-tier clubs from England and Italy, as well as regional titles.

In England, Flamengo's U-16s literally put the English side in the driving seat and took home the 2023 Liam Brady Cup title. Undefeated, with the best attacking and defensive performances, and defender João Victor named the championship's best player, Flamengo defeated Liverpool (ENG) 3-2 in the final. In the group stage, Rafael Bahia's team won all three matches: 3-1 (Liverpool), 2-1 (Arsenal), and 2-1 (PSV of the Netherlands). The competition was held at Arsenal's state-of-the-art training center in London.

U-14 makes history in Italy

The old saying goes: "You never forget your first title." And that's how it was with the 2009 generation, who participated in the traditional "Abano Football Trophy" tournament in Italy and won the first international trophy for the category, as well as being the first club outside Europe to win this competition.

The team led by coach Daniel Franklin were crowned champions in a thrilling final against Atalanta (ITA), decided only in extra time with a great goal from striker Ruan.

The victorious campaign began in the group stage, when they finished first, drawing with Udinese (0-0 in the debut), and then beating Juventus (ITA) and Dynamo Kyiv (UKR), 3-1 and 2-0, respectively. In the quarterfinals, they beat Malmö (SWE), 1-0. In a very eventful semifinal, the red-and-blacks defeated the Austrian Red Bull, by a score of 3-2. In a total of 6 games, Mengão won 5 and drew 1 (10 goals for and 3 against).

In Rio, four important achievements

The U-11 and U-12 teams were champions of the CFZ Club Tournament, held in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, beating Artsul 4-1 and Boavista 5-0.

In the U-7 and U-8 categories, the titles were won at Ninho das Garças. These generations won the 2023 Dente de Leite Cup, winning their matches 7-0 against Boavista (U-7) and 6-1 against Audax (U-8). It is worth noting that this championship corresponds to the state championship for the category.
