Mengão's youth team faces an important challenge next Saturday (June 30.06). The youth team (under-17) faces Fluminense at 14:45 pm in Laranjeiras, while the children's team (under-15) faces Vasco at 9 am in Itaguaí. The games mark the finals of the Guanabara Cup in each category.

Bigu, director of the red-and-black youth academy, says the nation's support will be crucial during the matches, as they will be played away from home. He also highlights the characteristics of each team.

"The children's team is very committed, hard-working, and dedicated. The youth team has great technical quality, and the unity of the kids makes all the difference," says Bigu.

Another team that needs the support of its fans is the pre-junior team. The junior team faces Vasco in the semifinals of the Rio Bonito Tournament at 9 a.m. in the municipality of Rio Bonito.

Entry to this Saturday's matches is free.
