As part of the development process for the Flamengo youth academy, Flamengo's youth academy management and the club's legal department held an informative talk for the under-17 and under-15 teams on Thursday morning (19). Dr. Rodrigo Frangelli, the club's lawyer, spoke to the young players about issues related to athletes' conduct in games that could be punished by the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD). The presentation took place at the George Helal Training Center, before training.
Addressing issues ranging from inappropriate behavior to expulsions, understanding the consequences of bad behavior can help with player education, positioning, and behavioral posture.
"We understand that by knowing the judgments they may face, they can avoid many punishments. This helps the development of the athlete and even the team. When they are in a competition and suffer an expulsion, it hinders the development of the group in the championship, for example," explained lawyer Dr. Rodrigo Frangelli.
Flamengo's player development process involves eight integrated departments, and instructions are applied both on and off the field. Obtaining the training club certificate, obtained in 2015, affirms the development of the work applied to technical and structural aspects that must be offered to young people who make up the base categories.
"We concluded that this type of movement is fundamental to the overall development of our athletes, adding value, knowledge, and understanding of fundamental information to our training context," stated the category coordinator, Kadu Borges.
"These actions are very important for the knowledge and development of our club's athletes," concluded Carlos Noval, director of the red-black youth team.
