Flamengo's U-15 team was eliminated by Chivas Guadalajara last Thursday (16.12/2) in the BH Youth Cup tournament. Despite leading 0-35, with goals from Bob and Alex, until the XNUMXth minute of the second half, Flamengo couldn't withstand the Mexican pressure and ended up conceding the equalizer. In the penalty shootout, the Mexican team prevailed. Despite the elimination, Flamengo's coaching staff considered the club's participation positive.

"It's a tournament Flamengo has participated in for three years, and it's always beneficial for us, regardless of the results. This year we achieved both of our goals. The first was to observe the players born in 3 and see which athletes we could count on in the youth category. The second purpose was to restore the self-esteem of these kids, who had a difficult year and who, in a way, arrived in Minas Gerais feeling discredited," said coach Fernando Vanucci, who explained that a precise assessment was made of which athletes could be used in the youth category next year.

"We now have a clear idea of the athletes we can use in the youth team. This competition was really helpful for our future goals," concluded Vannucci.

Flamengo's children's category went on recess and will return on January 12th, at 8 am, at the Vargem Grande CT.
