Coach Nuno Campos: Under-20 team seeks third consecutive victory in the Brazilian Championship

Third-placed in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, Flamengo will have a very important duel against Juventude, who have the same 19 points and are one place behind, based on goal difference (+3 to -1, respectively). The match — valid for the 11th round of the competition — is scheduled for this Wednesday (21/5), at 15 pm, at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, in Gávea.

In the previous round, the Red-Black team beat São Paulo 2-1 in Cotia, at the opponent's training center. It was the third consecutive victory for the team led by coach Nuno Campos, who had previously defeated Bahia and Internacional, both 2-0, at Gávea.

One of the positives of the victory over São Paulo was the excellent performance of Lorran, who scored the first goal in Flamengo's victory. The midfielder was once again included in the squad by coach Filipe Luís and was one of the main team's substitutes in the derby against Botafogo last Sunday (18), which ended goalless. Shola scored the second, breaking the tie.

In addition to Flamengo and Juventude, Athletico also has the same 19 points and is the vice-leader of the Brazilian U-20 due to having a better goal difference (+5). The Paraná team will face Atlético-MG, at home, at CT do Caju, this Wednesday (21), at 15 pm. Palmeiras leads with 23 points and will also take the field on the same day and location, against Fortaleza, away from home.
