Constantly called up, the red-and-black trio Patrick, Vinicius and Wesley didn't have much time to celebrate the U-17 Guanabara Cup title won this Sunday (4), at the Gávea stadium, against Botafogo. The boys have already presented themselves to the Brazilian National Team in the category, at Granja Comary. Right after the final, the Mais Querido athletes went to Teresópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, where they will stay until July 8.

The boys have already attended other training sessions this year at Granja. The training sessions with the 23 selected players are aimed at preparing for the 2017 competitions, the South American Championship and, if they qualify, the World Cup in India. This week, in addition to field training, the national team will play friendlies against Chile on July 6th and 8th.

"We'll be training for another week. Since I returned from my hand injury, when I was out of action for two months, this is my second call-up. I'm very happy for this opportunity. We'll be back on Friday and then we'll go straight to the Taça BH in search of another title," said Vinicius Junior, number 11 for the red-black under-17 team.

Upon returning to Rio, Flamengo's athletes will join the group that will embark this Friday (8) for Taça BH. The Mais Querido will debut in the competition against São Paulo, Sunday (10), at 11 am, at the Municipal Stadium of Muriaé.
