After an undefeated campaign, Flamengo's U-13 team won the Metropolitan Championship, defeating Vasco 3-1 with goals from Eric, Gasolina, and Leandro. The final took place at the Gávea clubhouse last Sunday (December 01.12). This was the third title of 2013 for Flamengo's U-13 team. This year, the boys won the Copa Guri (ES) and Copa CEU (MG), all undefeated, as well as finishing second in the Copa Zico, also undefeated: in the final, they tied in regulation time and lost on penalties. In total, in 2013, they played 38 games, winning 35 and drawing three.

The category's football supervisor, Fabricio Drago, praised the boys for their impeccable campaign.

"Our campaign was very good, we finished undefeated and only had one draw, which was in the first leg of the final, against Vasco. Practically all the registered players participated during the competition and contributed to this achievement. The result could not have been better," he said.

With the victory, the U-13 boys are now 47 games unbeaten. Besides the team's strength as a whole, "Mais Querido" also stood out in individual awards: goalkeeper Vitor conceded the fewest goals in the tournament, and forward Vinicius was the competition's top scorer.
