Being a team captain is no easy task. It requires leadership, a strong voice, experience, and a positive reputation among teammates. But the rewards can be immense. One of them is the thrill of lifting the trophy in a potential title win. That's what 17-year-old Lorran did last Saturday in Gávea.
Flamengo's youth team's number 7 was the one who lifted the trophy for the undefeated title in the Carioca Championship in the category – a feat he will never forget.
"Lifting a trophy wearing a Flamengo jersey and the captain's armband is truly an indescribable emotion. I was very happy with this opportunity and I thank all my teammates and the coaching staff, because this group is great to work with. The team has quality, everyone is united, and that made the difference," he said.
Aware that the achievement has gone down in the history of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, the player does not hide his emotion at having left his name in the pages of glories of Rubro-Negro.
"There's a phrase I've heard a few times here, which goes like this: 'Playing for Flamengo is very difficult, but making history for Flamengo is even more so.' And now we've managed to leave our names there a little bit in history with this title, which was very important, so there's no way we can't be very excited at this moment," he concluded.
