Carioca: Flamengo and Vasco in double dose, next Saturday (18)

The teams will face each other in the sixth round of the Taça Guanabara, at Gávea, in the under-15 and under-17 categories, at 9 am and 11 am, respectively.

After two more victories against Bangu, away from home, in the fifth round of the Taça Guanabara, Flamengo will face Vasco Gama, next Saturday (18), in two categories. In the under-17 category, the Garotos do Ninho won 4-0, while in the under-15 category, the score was 3-0. The matches were played last Saturday (11), at the Moça Bonita Stadium.

The under-15 team opened the double-header against Bangu and scored all three goals in the second half. Pedrinho opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a free kick. Jean Carlos and Deivid sealed the victory in the 19th and 28th minutes respectively, both assisted by Bryan.

The under-17 team scored the first goal in the 19th minute, with Guilherme Queiros, after a pass from Ruan Mateus. Flamengo returned energized for the second half and scored three more times. Isaac Gomes scored the second in the 15th minute. Jordan Michael assisted Nathan "Kante", who extended the lead in the 31st minute. Four minutes later, Isaac Gomes scored the fourth, converting an assist from Pedrinho.

Two classic matches between Flamengo and Vasco mark the continuation of the Carioca Championship next Saturday, both at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, in Gávea. The under-15 team takes the field first, at 9 am, while the under-17 team closes the schedule, at 11 am.

Flamengo leads the Guanabara Cup U-15 with 15 points and a 100% winning record. The team has scored 26 goals and conceded three. Vasco is in fourth place with 12 points. In the U-17 category, Flamengo is in fourth place with 13 points, 14 goals for and two against. Vasco leads with 15 points and a better goal difference than Fluminense and Botafogo, who have the same number of points.
