Flamengo U-17 also secured a spot in the semifinals of the U-17 Rio de Janeiro State Championship with a 3-2 comeback victory over Madureira this Thursday in Gávea. Guilherme, Felipe Teresa, and Lucyan scored for Flamengo U-17.

Flamengo's opponent will be announced this Friday. The first game will take place next Sunday (5), with the time and location to be confirmed.

The game

Just like in the U-15 match, the U-17 Garotos do Ninho fell behind and conceded two goals until the 25th minute of the first half. Things began to brighten for Mengão when Guilherme won a penalty in the 40th minute, which resulted in the Madureira goalkeeper being sent off. The number 10 scored with style and scored to make it 1-1.

Having played an extra player throughout the second half, Lucyan's introduction gave the Mais Querido's right wing more consistency, and they went all out to equalize. In the 18th minute, midfielder Guilherme fired a shot straight at the goalkeeper after receiving an assist from Teresa. Right-back Lucyan tapped the rebound into the net, making it 2-2. At 23, Fabrício, who started the match very well, almost turned it around for Flamengo with a shot that hit the post.

Six minutes later, the comeback came. Felipe Teresa's individual play skillfully displaced the opposing goalkeeper and sealed the victory for the red-and-blacks.
