Another page of history was written on the beautiful autumn morning, Saturday (9), at Ninho do Urubu, which for the first time received an audience to watch Flamengo's 4-1 victory over Botafogo. The duel also marked the debut of CT George Helal as a venue for classics. The red-black team showed good football and achieved an excellent result in the ninth round of the Taça Guanabara. The goals were scored by João Couto, Jordan Michael, Davi Fraga and Isaac.

Flamengo's first good opportunity came from a free kick on the left. João Couto struck the ball powerfully, and the Botafogo goalkeeper parried it forward in the 10th minute. Then, João Couto himself scored with a cross-shot. The ball nestled into the left corner in the 18th minute. The Flamengo number 10 made a point of embracing Matheus, an intern who completed his last day of contract, and received a standing ovation from everyone present.

In a good play down the right flank, Bernardo passed to Isaac, who shot across goal to the left of the goalkeeper in the 35th minute. Shortly after, João Couto almost extended the lead after dribbling past the defender and shooting powerfully, forcing a great save from the opposing goalkeeper. The second Flamengo goal came in the 44th minute when João Couto received the ball on the right and delivered a perfect cross for Jordan Michael to finish with a sliding tackle. Immediately afterwards, the referee ended the first half.

Botafogo started the second half on the attack and had two dangerous plays in quick succession within 3 minutes: a dangerous free kick and then a corner kick. Meanwhile, Flamengo looked for quick counter-attacks to try and score a third goal. At the 10-minute mark, Werneck made an important save. After enduring pressure from their opponents, Flamengo scored their third goal on a breakaway at the 16-minute mark.

Ykaro chipped the ball over the defense, João Couto challenged two defenders, and the ball fell to Davi Fraga who put it in the net. Flamengo sought to manage the lead and had another chance in the 36th minute with a blocked shot from Lucas. Even so, the fourth goal came. Walace Inácio made a beautiful play, was fouled, but Isaac was clever, took the ball, entered the area and shot hard into the top right corner. Before the final whistle, Botafogo reduced the deficit with a penalty kick.
