On the morning of this Thursday (11.12), the red-black under-15 team entered the field at Toca da Raposa I, having qualified for the quarter-finals of the BH Cup and drew 0-0 with Corinthians. Coach Gilmar Popoca took the opportunity to test new pieces and rest some players in the squad.
In addition to the new faces on the field, Flamengo was also without seven players—six from the Brazilian national team and one suspended—but played solidly and managed to draw. Corinthians had a great chance to open the scoring in the first half, with a penalty kick, but Flamengo goalkeeper Hugo saved the spot kick.
The result left Mais Querido in second place in group A, with two wins and two draws, accumulating eight points. The quarterfinal game will be this Friday (12.12), at 10:30 am, against the Brazilian National Team, third place in group B.
