On Thursday morning (5), Flamengo beat Fluminense 3-0 in the second round of the Guilherme Embry Under-16 Tournament. Ryan Pablo, Jhefinho and Ryan Roberto scored in the classic played in Gávea. The match began with a flurry of activity in midfield, with both teams moving the ball around. The intense marking allowed the ball to circulate along the wings, but without much danger. The opposing team's first two attempts at crosses were successfully cleared by the red-and-black defense.

Five minutes into the match, the first goal of the game. A stunning strike from Ryan Pablo. Flamengo had been building the play through the middle. In the attacking half, Jhefinho attempted a lofted pass to Ryan Roberto. The Tricolor defense cleared the ball with a header, and Ryan Pablo hit a flawless shot into the net. The goal was a severe blow to the team from Laranjeiras, which had controlled most of the action in the early stages of the match.

Upon the restart, the Mais Querido defense maintained the solidity that prevented the visiting team from progressing. In the 32nd minute, Ryan Roberto received a pass from Ryan Pablo in the middle. Fluminense's defense was slow to close the gap on the number 11, and the punishment came in the form of a goal: a powerful shot from outside the box, leaving goalkeeper Nathan Baroni with no chance. It was the third goal in three attempts by the Garotos do Ninho.

At the end of the first half, Fluminense tried two more attacks down the left flank, but without enough intensity to change the score.

The second half began with the same rhythm as the first. Luiz Mariano slipped and ended up injured, having to be replaced by Davi Waisman. Fluminense persisted in using direct attacking plays, but to no avail.

In the ninth minute, Jhefinho escaped through the middle and Caio Henrique stopped the Flamengo midfielder with a foul from behind. He was booked. The defensive midfield duo of Matheus Thiago and Enzo, and the central defense duo of Bernardo Mendonça and Levy, continued to dominate the duels. Flamengo maintained the calm and organized style that had dictated the first half. With 19 minutes remaining, Fabio Henrique received a yellow card after a hard foul on the left side of the defense. On a free kick in the box, Flamengo's defense once again won the ball in the air, with Bernardo, and the ball fell to Davi Waisman, who fired on the counterattack and found Ryan Pablo. Goalkeeper Nathan Baroni was able to come out of his goal well and prevent what would have been another Flamengo goal.

With 11 minutes remaining in regulation, Matheus Thiago received the ball on the right, cut inside, and shot dangerously, forcing the opposing goalkeeper to palm it away for a corner. After the short kick, Enzo crossed into the box, and the Tricolor goalkeeper intervened again to clear the danger. Fluminense was trying to find a way to be more offensive, and this ended up giving the Rubro-Negro more space behind the defense.

Defender Bernardo was the star of the defense, imposing himself technically and thwarting the opponent's attacking attempts. The referee signaled three minutes of stoppage time. Fluminense came through the middle, with a shot from the edge of the box that deflected off the defense, but was saved without a rebound by Flamengo goalkeeper Paulo Guilherme. Even with the game well underway, Flamengo continued to move the ball around with awareness and tactical discipline. There was no time for further attacks, and the referee blew the final whistle, declaring Mengão a 3-3 victory.
