Nothing like one round after another. After being beaten by Corinthians, at home, Flamengo defeated Atlético-GO 3-1, in the opponent's domain, and recovered in the dispute of the Brazilian U-20 Championship. Da Mata, Guilherme and Shola scored the red-black goals, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (18), at the Antônio Aciolly Stadium, in Goiânia.

From the start of the match, Flamengo sought to keep possession and accelerated the pace in search of a goal. With quick plays and good passing, Nuno Campos' team also pressed hard, always putting pressure on their opponents to quickly regain possession.

Shortly after suffering a scare from a dangerous Atlético-GO attack, Flamengo opened the scoring with a goal from defender Da Mata. Felipe Teresa took a corner kick from the left, and the number 4 rose to score with a header in the 33rd minute. The goal galvanized the team, and they reached the second goal within three minutes: Guilherme took advantage of a long ball from the right wing, beat the defender, and fired a cross into the goalkeeper's left corner.

In the 42nd minute, Pedro Leão received the ball after a play between João Alves and Felipe Teresa and fired a powerful shot from outside the box, drawing a great save from the goalkeeper, who palmed it out. Flamengo continued to press Atlético-GO and had another good chance from a Wanderson cross. The defense cleared it.

After a lackluster start to the second half, Atlético-GO threatened to gain momentum. Their attacks ultimately paid off, and the Goiás team pulled one back in the 16th minute. Flamengo, in turn, capitalized on their opponent's momentum and quickly launched an attack. Guilherme received a long ball down the left, dribbled into the box, and the ball fell to Shola for a precise finish, scoring the third in the 24th minute.

In the 33rd minute, Shola delivered a beautiful cross from the right, and Pedro Leão struck firmly, forcing a great save from the Atlético goalkeeper. Flamengo tried to maintain their lead, constantly seeking counterattacks, while Atlético-GO sought a comeback. There were no more significant moves until the end of the match: a 3-1 victory for Flamengo, with a strong performance.

Flamengo achieved its seventh victory and has 23 points in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. The next match will be against Santos, next Tuesday (24), at 14:45 pm, at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, in Gávea.
