In the 15th round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, Flamengo beat Botafogo 3-0 on Monday afternoon (30), in Gávea. The Rubro-Negro's goals were scored by Gabriel Aires and Thiaguinho (twice). With the result, the Mais Querido rose to fifth place in the championship.

The game
The match began with the "Garotos do Ninho" (Nest Boys) attacking Botafogo. Flamengo threatened in the first minute. Richard Ríos pounced on the rebound from a dangerous ball in the box, but Andrew made the save. In the 15th minute, Flamengo opened the scoring! Luan received the ball on the right, took it to the byline, and crossed perfectly for Gabriel Aires to head home: 1-0.

The red-and-black team played very well, extending their lead in the 24th minute. Thiaguinho received the ball at the edge of the box and fired a shot with his left foot. The ball hit the post before going in: 2-0. With the advantage on the scoreboard, the Mais Querido worked well in possession and created opportunities in attack.

In the second half, Flamengo maintained the same intensity and, just four minutes in, created a good opportunity. Max took a free kick into the box, the ball fell to Richard Ríos, who shot first time. The ball grazed the crossbar before going out. In the 21st minute, another good play from Flamengo. Gabriel made a great run down the right wing and rolled the ball into the middle of the box. Richard Ríos got a shot, but the goalkeeper saved.

In the 33rd minute, Mengão scored the third! In a set play on the right, Richard Ríos reached the byline and crossed into the box. Thiaguinho headed in to extend the red-and-black lead and give the final score: 3-0.

Mais Querido's next match will be against Bahia this Thursday (03), at 15 pm, at the Praia do Forte Sports Center, in Salvador.
