In another round of the Brasileirão Sub-17, Flamengo beat Corinthians 1-0 this Thursday (27), at the Gávea stadium, and achieved their second victory in the competition. Menegatti, who came on in the second half, scored the red-black goal.

With the result, the Garotos do Ninho added seven points and are in third place in Group A of the national tournament.

The game
Playing at home, the Ninho Boys started the match looking to maintain possession in attack, looking for spaces in Corinthians' defense. From the 15th minute onward, the São Paulo team leveled the score and began to push the red-and-black box more.

The game was fiercely contested in midfield, with a battle for possession. Corinthians created more chances and threatened Alysson's goal. In stoppage time, Germano took a dangerous free kick and forced the goalkeeper to palm it away for a corner. The first half ended in a goalless draw.

In the second half, the match became even more tense, with a lot of back-and-forth in midfield. Both teams misplaced passes frequently when transitioning from defense to attack.

Then, in the 23rd minute, Mengão managed to break through Corinthians' defense and open the scoring. Douglas Telles delivered a perfect pass to Menegatti in the box, and the midfielder beat the goalkeeper to put the red-and-black team ahead: 1-0.

With the score in their favor, the Ninho Boys continued to attack, exchanging passes and valuing possession. In the 37th minute, after a corner kick in the box, defender Victor Hugo won the ball in the air and headed it dangerously. The ball went just wide of the post.

In the final stretch, Rubro-Negro valued possession and managed the result to leave the field with the victory, their second in the competition.

Next appointment
The U-17 Ninho Boys return to the field next Wednesday (2) to face América-MG, at 15 pm, at Sesc Alterosas. The game is valid for the 5th round of the Brazilian Championship in the category.
