Flamengo's under-15 team defeated Vitória 2-1 in the Votorantim Cup on Saturday morning (January 16.01) at the Municipal Stadium in Votorantim, São Paulo. The current champion of the competition, the "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team), qualified for the next stage with one round to spare. The goals for the "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team) came in the second half with Lázaro and Yuri, who scored in the last minute of the game.
"We played very well... We constantly pushed the game and the opponent kept marking us from behind. Vitória had a stronger team physically, but we were better and more organized, deserving to win," said Kadu Borges, technical coordinator, about the comeback victory against the opponent.
In the final round, the team will decide first place in Group A against Coritiba, who are still trying to qualify. The match will take place on Sunday (17/01), at 10 am, at the same venue.
