Major victory for the U-15 Ninho Boys this Saturday. In the first game of the quarterfinals of the Rio de Janeiro State Championship, Flamengo thrashed Botafogo 6-1 away from home. Luiz Guilherme (3), Rafael Tenorio, Pedrinho and João Vitor scored for the red-black team.
In a blistering first half, the Mais Querido kids seized their opportunities and opened up a four-goal lead. In the second half, Flamengo continued to push for a further lead and, deservedly, added two more. Their opponent pulled one back near the end of the match.
With the elastic result, Mengão took a big step towards the semifinals of the competition, however, the team led by coach Thiago de Camillis will enter very focused aiming for a new triumph, in the return match that will take place next Saturday (26), at 10 am, in Gávea.
