In a match valid for the fourth round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship and held on Thursday night (30), at SESC Alterosas, in Belo Horizonte, Flamengo lost its unbeaten record in the competition and was defeated 3x1 (Petterson) by América-MG. The result leaves the Garotos do Ninho in second place in Group A of the Brasileirão. 

Next Saturday (09/07), Mais Querido hosts Cruzeiro, in Gávea, at 11 am. Before that, on Wednesday (06/07), Rubro-Negro faces Bangu, in the second leg of the Rio Cup semifinal. Both duels will be broadcast live on FlaTV. 

In Belo Horizonte, Flamengo took to the field in a very disfigured state, without Kauã Morais, Wesley, Cleiton, Zé Welinton, Daniel Cabral, Werton, and Matheus França. Even so, they played a hard-fought game against América MG, who opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the first half with their first shot, through Renato. Mengão equalized in the following play, with Petterson scoring after an assist from André Luiz. The Minas Gerais team took the lead again in the 41st minute, with a goal from Luan. 

In the second half, Flamengo dominated the game and pressed for an equalizer, until in the 36th minute, the referee failed to award a clear penalty on Pedro Arthur. A minute later, the penalty was awarded in favor of the home team. Adyson took the penalty, giving the game its final score.
