Flamengo hosted Athletico this Wednesday (26), at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium, in Volta Redonda (RJ), and won 4-1. Lorran, who scored a goal and gave two assists, was the highlight in the Mais Querido's triumph in the Brazilian U-20. It is worth remembering that it is the sixth time that Rubro-Negro has qualified for the semifinal of the championship, being the team that has played this stage of the competition the most times.
The Game:
After a good interception by Rayan Lucas, the midfielder passed the ball to Ryan Luka, who fired a low shot close to the opposing goal. In the 10th minute, Lorran made an excellent individual play and passed to Werton, who cleared the marker and scored with his left foot to open the scoring for Mengão.
A minute later, Lorran dribbled past the opposing defender and scored the second goal for the red-and-blacks. The number 10 continued to excel in the match and delivered a beautiful pass to Ryan Luka, who hit the post with a header.
Athletico created a few chances, but goalkeeper Kauã made some great saves, stopping the visiting team's attack. In the 44th minute, Pedrinho stole the ball and set up Werton, who returned it with a backheel pass for the midfielder to score the third. Two minutes later, Athletico closed the gap with Chiquetti.
Early in the second half, Werton passed the ball to Lorran, who cut to his right foot and shot wide. In the 16th minute, goalkeeper Kauã Santos made two difficult saves, protecting the red-and-black goal.
In the 18th minute, full-back Daniel Sales arrived well on the right and passed to Pedrinho, who fired a first-time shot over the opposing goal. Pedrinho had another opportunity to kill the game in the 34th minute, but ended up shooting wide after being one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper. Soon after, Lorran took the ball to his left foot and shot into the corner, but the opposing goalkeeper saved.
After a quick counterattack from Flamengo, Lorran found a pass for Petterson, who shot first time and scored the fourth goal for Flamengo, guaranteeing qualification for the semifinals of the Brazilian Championship.
