Flamengo's under-11 team will face another challenge this season. The kids debut this Saturday in the Mangaratiba Cup, which features 12 Rio de Janeiro clubs divided into four groups. Flamengo's group includes Friburguense and Itacuruçá, the team's opponent in the Gávea team's debut this Saturday (August 14.08) at 11:30 am.
"I took over the team two weeks ago and we're working hard to recruit players, following the new project and philosophy implemented by our football director Zico. The boys who will compete in this competition are fully capable of winning the title," analyzed Junior, Flamengo's coach.
With a lot of determination and a well-planned plan, the red-black coach began work hoping that the team would yield good results within the competition and in the long term.
"It's a quality generation that has everything to bring a lot of joy, whether in the present or in the near future," he added.
