Flamengo's under-20 team drew 0-0 with Palmeiras in the first round of the Brazilian Championship in the category, of the Gaucho Federation. The match was held on the evening of last Friday (05.12), in Novo Hamburgo, in Rio Grande do Sul.

Both teams had chances to open the scoring during the match, but were denied by the goalkeepers. The Red-Black team came closest to scoring, with a penalty kick, but the Alviverde goalkeeper made the save.
In Group D of the competition, Flamengo will play again next Sunday (07.12), still in Novo Hamburgo, the group's headquarters, at 20 pm, against Atlético-PR.
