Mengão's U-17s faced Botafogo in the 10th round of the Campeonato Carioca in a thrilling match and won the classic 3-2. Alan Santos, Pablo and Joshua scored the decisive goals in the Rubro-Negro triumph. In the next match, the Garotos do Ninho will face Fluminense next Saturday (12).

Game
Botafogo opened the scoring early on, in the sixth minute. Flamengo attempted a response through Joshua, who received the ball just outside the box and shot just wide of the post.
The players tried to equalize throughout the first half, but the game was full of fouls, preventing many of Mengão's attacks. The first half ended 1-0 to the opponent.
After the break, Mengão started strong, with Alan Santos tying the game on a rebound from Lucas Vieira's shot, making it 1-1. In the 14th minute, Botafogo scored their second.  
In the next move, Pablo got past four players and scored a stunning goal to level the score again.
In the 29th minute, Joshua's star shined. The number 10 went one-on-one with the defender, cleared the ball, and struck with skill with his left foot to turn the game around. 3-2, Mengão.
After the comeback, Flamengo began to control the game, leaving no chance for Botafogo to mount a comeback. The game ended, and three more points for the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved).
