In the second round of the Brasileirão Sub-17, Flamengo beat Ceará, in a comeback, 2-1 on Saturday afternoon (15), in Gávea. Mengão's goals were scored by Matheus França and Matheus Gonçalves. With the result, the Garotos do Ninho achieved their second consecutive victory and maintained their 100% record in the championship, guaranteeing the isolated first place in Group A with six points.

The game
Less than a minute into the match, Flamengo created a good chance. Following a corner, Vitor Muller rose to head the ball, but it went just wide of the post. Flamengo exchanged passes in their attacking half and made good runs down the flanks. Meanwhile, Ceará played defensively and rarely pushed forward.

In the 21st minute, Dudu took a first-time shot from the edge of the box and forced the goalkeeper into a good save in the left corner. With the increased play, the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) were able to attack with relative ease, but were lacking in their final pass. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

Rubro-Negro returned for the second half looking to open the scoring. In the fourth minute, Petterson ran down the right and crossed low to Mateus Dias, who struck first time from the edge of the box, but the ball went out of bounds. In the 13th minute, Mateus Dias again received the ball in the box and tried to chip the ball over the goalkeeper, but the ball sailed over the crossbar.

Then, Caio Rafael opened the scoring for Ceará, after a quick counterattack: 1-0. After the goal, the red-black team went on the attack in search of the equalizer, which came in the 33rd minute. Matheus Gonçalves made a good play on the left and crossed perfectly for Matheus França to finish with a header into the goal: 1-1.

At the very end of the match, Mengão took the lead with a stunning goal in the 43rd minute! Matheus Gonçalves regained possession in midfield, carried the ball to the edge of the box, and unleashed a powerful shot into the goalkeeper's right corner: 2-1. In the remaining minutes, the red-and-black team held on to possession until the referee blew the final whistle, leaving the field with another victory in the championship.  

Next appointment
The Ninho Boys return to the field next Wednesday (19) to face Grêmio, at 18:45 pm, at the Luso-Brazilian Stadium, on Governador Island.
