The game
The first half started fairly evenly, but Palmeiras had the first significant opportunity to open the scoring, thanks to Fabrício. Gradually, the red-and-black team began to loosen up and maintain possession for longer, exchanging passes in the attacking half. The "Garotos do Ninho" (The Nest Boys) worked well on the wings, but struggled with the final pass due to Palmeiras' strong marking.

In the 28th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Palmeiras. Fabrício stepped up to take the penalty, but goalkeeper João Fernando made a great save, preventing the São Paulo team from opening the scoring. In the 34th minute, Mengão created a dangerous situation. Matheus Alves received the ball at the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful shot. The goalkeeper grabbed it from the right corner.

In the 37th minute, João Fernando shone again, saving another penalty. In a first half with few chances created by the Red-Blacks, the game went into halftime tied at 0-0.

In the fifth minute of the second half, Lázaro received a cross and headed the ball in the six-yard box, but the goalkeeper saved it. With increased play, Flamengo began to pressure Palmeiras more in their own half, creating more scoring chances. In the 18th minute, Palmeiras opened the scoring with Caio Cunha: 1-0.

In the 32nd minute, Mengão leveled the score. After a corner kick, the ball fell to Diego, who slotted it into the back of the net: 1-1. Then, the red-and-black team turned the game around! In a well-worked play on the left, Yuri received the ball at the edge of the box, shot into the corner, and sealed the victory for the red-and-black team, a spectacular comeback: 2-1.
