The Flamengo center forward led Flamengo's youth team to another victory in the U-20 Rio de Janeiro State Championship. With three goals from him, coach Armênio Moura's team defeated Olaria 3-0, reaching 16 points in the standings and maintaining its undisputed lead in the competition.

Flamengo started the match looking like they were going to crush Olaria. Less than a minute into the match, Dieguinho delivered a superb pass to Diego Maurício, who burst into the box and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper to open the scoring. But the predictions didn't pan out, and the red-and-blacks stopped there. With the early lead and the intense heat of Gávea, coach Armênio Moura's team eased off the gas and stopped pressing.

Even so, the team remained dominant throughout the match, dominating possession and occasionally creating danger for Olaria's goal. The visitors, for their part, also posed no threat until striker Diego Maurício's star power returned. It took a while, but in the 30th minute of the second half, Flamengo turned their composure into an advantage. Another through ball from Dieguinho, another run from the number 10, and another tap past the Olaria goalkeeper made it 2-0.

Shortly after, Juninho had a good chance to extend the lead, but failed to do so. But that task fell to Diego Maurício again. This time, he connected with Ricardinho's cross and, with a skillful touch, scored his and Flamengo's third goal of the match, sealing the score and securing the team from Gávea's first place in the standings.
