The game, valid for the fourth round of the State Championship, was away from home, at Eduardo Guinle Stadium. With the result, Flamengo remains undefeated in the Guanabara Cup, with two wins and two draws.

Interim coach Marcio Torres praised the boys' attitude, after a delay in the game due to works on the Niterói-Manilha Highway, which hindered the arrival of the referees.

"The boys performed well. The possibility of having to cancel the game created some uncertainty for the boys, but the referees eventually arrived, and as the game progressed, they regained their concentration, and we managed to open the scoring in the first half. In the second half, we played much better, and Darlan scored another goal. We controlled the game well and had chances to score more goals; we played good football. Their commitment was very good," he said.

The juniors' next challenge will be against Macaé, next Saturday (01.02), at 15:30 pm, at the Gávea social headquarters.
