The Flamengo youth team won the Élio Campos Tournament titles in the under-12 and under-14 categories this Saturday (18). In two matches against Fluminense, Flamengo were crowned champions with victories of 1-0 and 6-5, on penalties, respectively, at the Antunes Coimbra Stadium, located at the Zico Football Center (CFZ), in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, a neighborhood in the Southwest Region of Rio.

The Fla-Flu derby in the under-12 category opened the day, and Flamengo's first title came with a 1-0 score. The goal was scored by Diego Maciel, who took advantage of an assist from Miguel Gama, at 38 minutes of the first half, and defined the result of the match. Flamengo had already beaten Fluminense 1-0 in the first leg, played on July 12th at the Marcelo Vieira Stadium in Xerém, with a goal by Murilo Aroucha.

In the under-14 category, Flamengo won the championship on penalties. After a goalless draw, also on the 12th, at the same Marcelo Vieira Stadium, Flamengo drew again with Fluminense, this time 1-1. Just two minutes into the game, Luiz Miguel passed the ball to Aleffer, who opened the scoring for the red-and-black team. However, the opponent equalized in the 12th minute of the second half. In the penalty shootout, the balance remained, but after 16 kicks, Flamengo won again (8-7). And another trophy for the collection!
