It's champion! Flamengo beats Corinthians 2-1 and wins the Brazilian Under-17 title

With goals from Lázaro and Ryan Luka, Garotos do Ninho lift another trophy for the red-black youth team

It's champion! This Saturday morning (17), the Garotos do Ninho lifted the title of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship and made history with another important achievement for the red-black youth categories. In the second match of the grand final, played at the Kléber Andrade stadium, in Cariacica-ES, Flamengo beat Corinthians 2-1 and was crowned champion of the competition. The goals of the Most Beloved were scored by Lázaro and Ryan Luka, who celebrated the Nation.

The game

Flamengo started the first half strongly and took two minutes to open the scoring. Caio took a free kick from the right side of the box, and Lázaro rose above everyone else to head it firmly into the goalkeeper's left corner to make it 1-0. In Corinthians' first dangerous move, in the 16th minute, Danilo made a weak connection, and it fell easily to Flamengo goalkeeper Bruno. In the 21st minute, Mengão almost scored a second goal. Caio passed the ball to Lázaro, and the number 10 headed it to Pedro Arthur. The number 7 swung the ball over the marker and, just as he was about to shoot, was blocked by the opposing defense.

The Ninho Boys wanted more and went after the Corinthians team. In the 33rd minute, top scorer Lázaro received the ball on the right, swung, and passed it to Marcos Felipe, who was wide open on the wing. He crossed into the six-yard box, and Ryan Luka headed it into the right corner to make the Nation celebrate: 2-0.

The second half started more tensely compared to the first half. With the advantage, Mengão controlled the result, while Corinthians struggled to assert themselves. In the 21st minute, the black and white team reduced the deficit with Cauê, who fired a powerful shot into the top corner: 2-1. In the 25th minute, Corinthians threatened again, forcing goalkeeper Bruno to make two excellent point-blank saves. And there was no time for anything else! The referee blew the final whistle, allowing the nation to celebrate in Cariacica and across Brazil.

Number 10 Lázaro was the competition's top scorer with 14 goals.
