The U-20s need to beat Serra Macaense to return to the top of their group in the OPG Tournament

This Saturday (October 12.10th), at 15 p.m., in Gávea, the under-20 team will face Serra Macaense in the seventh round of the qualifying phase of the Otávio Pinto Guimarães Tournament (OPG). A simple victory is enough to put the Mais Querido back at the top of Group B and push their opponents into second place. After being eliminated from the Copa do Brasil last Tuesday (October 08.10th), coach Cleber dos Santos' team is focusing its attention on this state competition and will go into the game with full strength.
"Although we didn't qualify against Remo in the Copa do Brasil, we had a huge change in our approach. In the second leg, we played hard against our opponents, scored on their own turf, and the attitude was what you'd expect from Flamengo players. We hope to have the same positive attitude against Serra Macaense to retake the lead and seek qualification for the next round as group winners," said the Flamengo coach.
Before the qualifying round ends, Flamengo will face Mesquita and Duque de Caxias. The top two teams from each of the four groups will advance to the next stage.
