An exciting victory. Wednesday morning (29) couldn't have started better. Playing away from home, the U-15 Garotos do Ninho beat Vasco, in a comeback, by a score of 3 to 2, in the third round of the Copa Rio. With the result, Flamengo now has 9 points with 3 wins.

From the start of the first half, Mengão tried to create quick plays down the flanks. And just five minutes in, Diego played a great one-two with Enzo, earning a corner. From the corner kick, Levy, the top-scoring defender (three goals in the championship), capitalized on the goalkeeper's mistake and opened the scoring. Excellent in marking and disarming, as well as long-range shots, Mais Querido managed to control the action.

In the second half, a small setback in the first minutes, and the opponent ended up turning the game around.

After the technical break, coach Vinicius Durante managed to correct some mistakes, lifted the spirits of the youngsters, and Flamengo came back with a vengeance. On two occasions, they nearly tied the score. After a few substitutions, the red-and-black pressure continued, and the equalizer came in the 35th minute. Jeffinho shot from the edge of the six-yard box, the opposing goalkeeper parried, and, from the rebound, Diego equalized with a beautiful finish.

With grit and determination, Mengão went all out to turn the score around. In stoppage time, Davi coolly cut down the right flank and with a beautiful touch sent the ball into the back of the net: 3-2. A great goal and a celebration in the favela!

Flamengo's U-15s will travel tomorrow for the IberCup Madrid-Cascais match. The first games will take place this Saturday (1).
