In Conselheiro Galvão, Flamengo U-15 beat Madureira 2-1 in the Rio Cup of the category

On a double round day at the Conselheiro Galvão stadium, Flamengo U-15 beat Madureira 2-1 on Saturday morning (9) in the category's Copa Rio. Mengão's goals were scored by Lucas Rabello and Diogo. With the victory, the Garotos do Ninho have seven points and are currently leading the competition.

The game
With a significantly changed lineup compared to the last round, the Garotos do Ninho began the match valuing possession and seeking plays on the wings. Madureira, on the other hand, closed up deep and tried to get forward on the counterattack. As a result, the red-and-black team struggled to penetrate the opposing defense.

In the 29th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! In a quick play, Ramon delivered a sweet pass to Lucas Rabello, who cleared the defense and fired a cross-shot to score the first goal of the game: 0-1. And it didn't take long for the Ninho Boys to extend their lead. Defender Diogo hit a beautiful shot from outside the box, and the ball went into the goalkeeper's right corner: 0-2.

Flamengo returned for the second half with the same intensity, always looking to attack. With the advantage, the red-and-black team calmly worked the ball and controlled the game, allowing no reaction from Madureira.

Throughout the match, the Ninho Boys created clear scoring chances and narrowly avoided extending their lead. In the 43rd minute, Madureira pulled one back through Cauã Fadini.

With a 2-1 result, Mais Querido achieved its second victory in the Copa Rio, momentarily taking the lead in the competition.

In the second game of the day, the U-17 red-black team was defeated by Madureira 2-1. Luan Andrey scored Fla's only goal in the match, valid for the third round of the Copa Rio.

The game
Playing with the U-16 team, Flamengo started the match looking to attack and opened the scoring after just four minutes. Following a corner kick, Luan Andrey headed the ball into the back of the net: 0-1. Following the ball going out, Madureira leveled the score with David Teixeira's goal: 1-1.

In the 15th minute, João Trevisol took a shot from outside the box, but the ball went just wide of the post. In the 21st minute, Walace made a good run down the middle, cleared the play, and hit a cross-shot. The ball hit the post. Despite Rubro-Negro's superiority in the first half, the teams went into halftime tied.

Just two minutes into the second half, Luan Andrey received the ball inside the box and unleashed a first-time cross. The Madureira goalkeeper stretched to make the save. The red-and-black team continued to dominate possession but struggled to create attacking chances.

Madureira grew into the match and began to threaten Daniel Alves' goal more. In the 22nd minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Tricolor Suburbano after Germano handled the ball in the box. William Gabriel stepped up to take the penalty and converted, making it 2-1.  

Flamengo pushed forward in search of an equalizer, but ultimately failed. The game ended in a victory for the home team.
