With the result, Flamengo will go in search of the fourth title of the competition and will decide with Vitória a place in the final, on Friday (31.08), at 15 pm.

Number 18, Igor, who scored the equalizer in the game, was very happy with the result and expects a great game in the semifinal.

"I'm very happy. Flamengo is about overcoming and excitement. We're going all out for the semifinal against Vitória," he declared.

The match started evenly with both teams creating scoring chances. However, Santos took a 2-0 lead (one goal in each half). Eight minutes into the second half, the Flamengo came back. Rodolfo capitalized on a Fernandinho shot that bounced off the defense and scored for Flamengo: 2-1. The team from Gávea equalized with Igor, who came on for Romário, in the 33rd minute, sending the match to penalties.
