The main mission of Flamengo's youth academy is to develop citizens into excellent athletes. To continue this work with the "Garotos do Ninho" (Nest Boys), the Mais Querido's educational team provided 40 athletes from under-14 to under-17 with a movie on Tuesday (7). For some in the group, made up of athletes aged between 14 and 17, this was their first time in front of the big screen.

"The main objective of our initiatives with youth athletes is to provide community and social experiences as they develop as individuals and athletes. For some, we also gave them the opportunity to go to the movies for the first time," explained educator Monique Sena, one of the initiative's leaders.

Activities like this will be part of the routine for athletes housed at the George Helal Training Center - Ninho do Urubu. Flamengo's teaching staff is planning a visit to AquaRio, the largest marine aquarium in South America, in September, with up to 8 animals from 350 different species on display.

In addition to educator Monique Sena, social worker Gabriela Espinhoza also accompanied the group of athletes to the cinema. The duo is responsible for the work carried out with the Ninho Boys.
