By Communication - Official Club Website - inMembers of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo enjoyed a Saturday full of victories today (October 25.10). The youth team played five matches and won four at the Gávea stadium. The highlight was the 10-0 victory by the under-14 team against Boavista in the category's Taça Rio.
The red-and-black team's goal-laden match began at 3 p.m. The under-14s started the match with the reserves to give the entire team more experience. By the end of the first half, the Mais Querido was leading 15-0. In the second half, the goals continued to flow thanks to the red-and-black team's intensity and the spaces created by their movement.
"The team's performance was good! The goals came naturally and we managed to score a rout, but the most important thing was playing well, efficiently applying the game's behaviors and the principles we had trained intensely. Even with the changes, we maintained the intensity and control of the actions, which reinforces what we have developed in the U-14s, such as the importance of collective play and of everyone in the squad, as it is this understanding that will enable the homogeneous development of the athletes and will allow the application of individual quality, at the appropriate and right time," explained Dudu Patetuci, U-14 coach.
