The sun was shining even before kickoff. The match began in blistering heat, with both teams moving the ball around with few touches and at high speed.

Both teams sought to close the gap on the ball, and possession frequently alternated. Flamengo's lead in the first leg forced the visiting team to come out and play, but the Red-Blacks were attacking more dangerously. In the ninth minute, Zé Welinton fired a shot from the left wing, but goalkeeper Gustavo Jundi was alert and made a save before the cross could be reached.

​At 10, Pedrinho passed three opponents and passed to Petterson to finish with force from outside the area, but the shot ended up blocked by the defense.

With 12 minutes on the clock, the first goal of the match. Lorran passed to Daniel Sales, who crossed the ball across the box and passed it to Petterson on the left. The number 11 burst into the box and with a powerful shot opened the scoring, increasing the Rubro-Negro's lead. The goal gave Santos even more momentum going forward.

The game had already been underway for 14 minutes when Lorran passed to Petterson on the left, who crossed into the box, and Pedrinho's weak deflection was saved by the goalkeeper. The red-and-black defense managed to contain the opposition's momentum and maintained control of the game, moving the ball around consciously and marking without space, threatening the black-and-whites with quick counterattacks.

The equalizer came in the 19th minute. Gabriel Bontempo headed a powerful cross from the right past goalkeeper Kauã Santos, making it 1-1. Flamengo kept their heads and attacked with Werton in the 21st minute, shooting wide of the goal.

In the 23rd minute, Lorran took a left-footed shot from outside the box. Gustavo Jundi rebounded, and Werton crossed the ball to put Flamengo back in front: 2-1.

After the water break, Flamengo began to pace the match, threatening passes to wingers Werton and Petterson. In the 28th minute of the first half, Lorran made an excellent individual play and was brought down in the box. The referee waved play on.

Santos felt the blow of the second goal, and the game became more intense. Daniel Sales and Cleiton, the key players in the defense during the first half, neutralized their chances.

At 34, in a quick exit on the left, defender Kevyson finished strongly for a safe intervention by goalkeeper Kauã, who defended without giving a rebound.

With 5 minutes left in the first half, Gabriel Bontempo dribbled past a defender and fell in the box, the referee allowed play to continue and then Hyan shot from inside the box over the goal.

Santos prowled the red-and-black box looking for space to attack, but Evertton and Cleiton intercepted the São Paulo team's attacks. In the 43rd minute, Miguelito received the ball on the right wing, took it in, and shot wide. The match's first card followed. Gustavo Henrique committed a hard foul on Zé Welinton and received a yellow card.

In the last play of the first half, Petterson received the ball from Lorran on the left, got away from his marker and shot into the net from the outside.

The advantage built in the first game, added to that achieved in the first half, put more pressure on the opposing team and gave more tranquility to the fluidity of the game of the Garotos do Ninho.

Santos returned with new players in the second half. Diogo Correia, Thiago Balieiro, and Renyer replaced Kevyson, Gabriel Bontempo, and Miguelito.

Flamengo returned for the second half without making any changes. In the first five minutes of the second half, Santos pushed Flamengo back into their own half, but their attacks were ineffective.

Next came Mengão's third goal. Werton capitalized on an opponent's slip-up and, after a blocked shot, passed to Petterson to further extend the Red-Blacks' lead with a deliberate finish, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

With the score in their favor, Flamengo maintained control of the ball, leaving Santos to launch attacks with imprecise passes and aimless long shots.

Wallace Yan replaced Werton on the right wing. Felipe Brian replaced Daniel Sales at right back.

In the 13th minute, Santos' defense cleared the ball poorly and Pedrinho almost scored a great lob, with the ball passing just inches over the crossbar.

The black and white team responded in the 15th minute, with Renyer shooting wide. Soon after, Petterson found Lorran on the right, who eluded his marker and fired a powerful shot into the net from the outside.

​With 19 minutes played in the second half, Pedrinho started from the defense, passed one player, played a one-two with Lorran, cut past the defender and shot for a great save from Gustavo Jundi, who prevented a great goal with his left foot.

At 23, Kevin Malthus replaced Bernardo in the Santos lineup. At 27, Rodriguinho replaced Petterson to maintain the attacking pressure on the left wing.

The arrival of new energy in the Flamengo team maintained the consistency of Mais Querido, both in marking when leaving the ball and in the defensive core, sovereign with the performances of Rayan Lucas and Evertton.

With 28 minutes played in the second half, Wallace Yan invaded the area unmarked, but took too much of the goalkeeper and the shot ended up going to the left of the goal.

From the last third of the second half onwards, Santos relied more on direct passes, while Flamengo remained in control of the pace of the match.

In the 34th minute, Rodriguinho received a yellow card for obstructing a free kick in midfield. The clock read 36 minutes when Mário Jorge proposed a triple change. Defender Darlan came on for Diegão, Jean Carlos replaced Pedrinho, and João Marcos came on for Lorran.

​In a great left-footed play, Wallace Yan exchanged passes with João Marcos and shot dangerously close to the corner of the left post.

The fourth official raised the board signaling 7 minutes of added time. In the 43rd minute, Evertton received a yellow card for committing a hard foul in the defensive half.

​In absolute control of the match, Flamengo exchanged passes while Santos watched the clock tick down. With the final whistle, the "Garotos do Ninho" (Nest Boys) celebrated their absolute victory, and will play the Brazilian title at home against the winner of the match between Corinthians and Palmeiras, as they have the better record in the national championship.
