By Communication - Official Club Website - inOn the 03rd, Flamengo will debut in the Copa São Paulo against Santo André, seeking its third title in the youth competition. One of the youngsters recently moved up from the under-17s, but he will bring with him some positive experiences from 2013: participating in the U-17 World Cup with the Brazilian national team and in the U-XNUMX Copa do Brasil final, where he finished second. Caio Rangel, an attacking midfielder, is eager for his first Copinha.
"It's my first Copinha. I'm looking forward to it, I'm thinking positively. We're going to play to be champions and show our passion, which is Flamengo's tradition and symbol. We want to play a happy game, and we're very focused on having a good championship," he said.
Regarding the future, Caio dreams of playing professionally for Flamengo, and believes that his international experience was of great importance for his development in the sport.
"I dream of playing professionally. I moved up to the juniors with this dream, which I've had since I was little. I always talk to my parents; we only talk about Mengão. Thank God, the U-17 World Cup gave me a lot of exposure and was very good for my future. The support on social media got me excited and was a great incentive to play. Unfortunately, we left for Mexico, but it was a wonderful experience," he declared.
