In a high-level competition, it's important to start with a win to gain confidence; and that's exactly what Flamengo did last Friday afternoon (06.12), in Porto Alegre (RS). At Passo D'Areia Stadium, the Mais Querido beat Atlético-MG 1-0, with a goal from Igor Sartori, in the opening match of Group B of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship.
Flamengo found the net in the second half. The forward received a pass from Eduardo, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and slotted the ball into the empty net. "The game was evenly matched, difficult. We even had to defend more than usual, but we knew how to counterattack," explained Igor Sartori.
The second match for the Brazilian under-20 will be against Santos, next Tuesday (10.12), at 19 pm, at Passo D'Areia Stadium.
