Fabricio Yan scores again, Flamengo U-17 beats Resende and remains in the lead of the Guanabara Cup
Even playing with some athletes from the U-16 team, Garotos do Ninho won away from home 1-0 and went to FlaxFlu decisively in sole leadership.
By Ian Sena - inThe seven goals scored last Saturday against Macaé at CT das Vargens are already part of the history of Fabricio Yan and Flamengo. This Saturday afternoon (16), the striker was decisive once again, scoring the goal in the crucial 1-0 victory over Resende at Estádio do Trabalhador, in a difficult duel valid for the 10th round of the Taça Guanabara U-17. With the victory, achieved with great help from the U-16 team led by coach Leo Ramos, the Garotos do Ninho remain in the sole lead of the competition, with 26 points earned in nine games. The postponed game is precisely the FlaxFlu scheduled for next Wednesday (20), at 10 am, in Xerém, which will count as the early final of the Taça Guanabara and will be broadcast live on FlaTV. Fluminense is in second place, with one point less than Mengão.
In Resende, Flamengo entered the game with a significantly modified lineup, as the senior U-17 team is still recovering physically from the 5-3 victory over Palmeiras, which gave the Mais Querido a spot in the Copa do Brasil final in that category, and is preparing for next Wednesday's derby. Coach Leo Ramos fielded a team primarily comprised of U-16 athletes, who once again delivered, defeating a very tough opponent.
The winning goal was scored by Fabricio Yan just five minutes into the first half, demonstrating opportunism and good positioning inside the box, finishing into the back of the net after a rebound from the goalkeeper.
Flamengo: Gustavo Jundi, Hernandes, David Gondim, Diego Clemente, Marquinhos; Kauã Moura, Rayan Lucas, Vinicius; Rodriguinho, Lucas Moreira and Fabricio Yan. Coach: Leo Ramos.
