"It's a wonderful feeling to score today. We've been working hard every day, and we knew this game was practically a final and could lead us to the title. Thank God, I was able to come on and help the team with two goals, my first goals for Flamengo. God willing, they'll be the first two of many," celebrated the young striker, who joined the Rubro-Negro from Cruzeiro just over a month ago.

Chrysman also spoke about the match and made a point of congratulating his teammates, who, like him, came off the bench and contributed to the victory. Wednesday's result puts the second-round title firmly in the balance. 

"At the beginning, the game was more ours. As the match progressed, they evened out, and it was back and forth. In the end, when we conceded the goal, we went all out, and the bench changes began. I want to congratulate everyone, because Flamengo fans have to be prepared for any situation. We came out, stood firm, and fought until the end to pull off the comeback. After this comeback against Botafogo, we'll keep going strong and will only stop when the title is in our hands."

 

In Wednesday's match against Botafogo, coach Leonardo Cherede returned to lead the U-16 team from the sidelines. Cherede shares the team's leadership with Ramon Lima, who is in Curitiba as assistant coach Marcio Torres for the match between Flamengo and Coritiba in the Brazilian U-20 Championship. After the victory in the derby, Leo Cherede commented on the result and praised the players' performance.

"We knew the importance of today's game. It was a final, because if we lost today to Botafogo, they could win the second leg and thus end the championship. Now, we're back to relying solely on ourselves. When we lost to Fluminense, we started rooting for results. The results came, and we regained the lead, now relying solely on ourselves. It was a typical final derby; Botafogo is also a great team, and we knew the challenges we would face. I'm pleased with the players' performance. This entire change of leadership, with Ramon leading the team in some training sessions and matches, and also leading some matches and practices. The players deserve this victory because they kept an open mind and trained hard, to give their best on the field and honor this jersey, which is very important."

"I always emphasize to them that there aren't just 11 starters; we have a group in which everyone has to be ready. Often, when things don't go well for those who start, the bench is fully capable of helping. I'm happy for those who came on and were able to change the game. The Boys of the Nest still have two more matches in the return leg of the Guilherme Embry Under-16 Tournament. Next Wednesday (19), the game is against Boavista, at the Aeronautics Club, in Barra da Tijuca and on the 26th they close their participation against Piscinão de Ramos, in Gávea.
