The three main youth teams in the red-and-black soccer league will face a decisive weekend in their respective state championships. The Mais Querido was the only club in Rio de Janeiro to qualify its U-20, U-17, and U-15 teams for all the finals (Taça Guanabara and Taça Rio). See below for a summary of each category's final.

- Under-20 (Juniors):

After having the best campaign of the first half of the season, with 17 points in 7 games (5 wins and 2 draws) and beating Fluminense in the semifinals (a 1-0 victory in a single game at Gávea), coach Gilmar Popoca's team will have to decide the Taça Rio title in a single match that will be played at São Januário Stadium this Sunday, at 10 a.m., with live broadcast on Globoesporte.com. A draw will take the decision to penalties.

Regardless of the outcome, the Garotos do Ninho have already qualified for the overall semifinals of the State Championship with the best record (49 points – 15 wins, 4 draws, and only 3 losses) among the 16 participating teams. In the semifinals, the Mais Querido will face Madureira in a single match at Gávea, with the advantage of playing for a draw to advance to the final of the competition.
