After drawing the first match at Gávea, Flamengo secured a 2-1 victory over Fluminense, away from home, and guaranteed their place in the final of the Copa Rio Sub-17. The under-15 team, despite winning 2-1 against the same opponent, ended up missing out on the final of the competition due to the aggregate score, having lost the first leg 3-1. The matches were played this Saturday (1), at the Marcelo Vieira Stadium, in Xerém.

Fluminense only needed two draws to win, and the Flamengo U-17 team took to the field with great determination. The first goal came from a ball stolen by Jhefinho, which fell to Victor Hugo who returned it perfectly for Jhefinho to shoot into the right corner of the goal. In the dying moments of the first half, Rafinha took a free kick from the left and captain Rogério Araújo, with his back to goal, headed the ball into the net in the 48th minute.

After the break, the game became quite balanced. Fluminense tried to attack, and Flamengo looked for an opponent's mistake to secure qualification. However, it was the opponent who scored in the 12th minute. The game continued in the same vein until, in the 48th minute, João Carlos had a great chance to score the third goal, but his shot went wide to the right of the post. Shortly after, the referee ended the match.

In the U-15 Rio Cup, Flamengo, like the U-17 team, went all out to overcome Fluminense's advantage, who also had the advantage of two draws and had won the first leg 3-1 at Gávea. And this attitude paid off early, just 9 minutes in, when José Eduardo opened the scoring. Guilherme Queiroz extended the lead in the 22nd minute.

Despite a hard-fought effort, the Flamengo team couldn't score and ended up conceding a goal to their opponent in the 15th minute of the second half. Even winning away from home, the result wasn't enough to qualify Flamengo for the final.
