Flamengo earned another three points in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. With goals from Josmar, Ryan Roberto and Guilherme, from a penalty, the Rubro-Negro beat Vitória-BA 3-1, this Friday (27), at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, in Gávea. It was the last match before the trip to Quito, capital of Ecuador, where the Libertadores of the category will be played, from March 7 to 22.

The game

The match started very competitively, with many duels for the ball. In the 7th minute, Daniel Sales made a good pass to Josmar on the right. The striker shot and the opposing goalkeeper caught it. Four minutes later, the duo found the first goal for Flamengo. Daniel crossed from the right and Josmar headed precisely into the right corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance.

Shortly after, at 13 minutes, Ryan Roberto and Guilherme pressured Vitória's defense. Guilherme recovered possession and passed to Ryan, who scored with a beautiful chip shot from the left side of the area. The ball nestled into the left corner of the opponent's goalkeeper's net. Vitória reduced the deficit at 19 minutes. Then, another attacker from the Bahia team made a good save. Léo Nannetti made a good save from a cross-shot from the right.

Flamengo threatened again in the 39th minute with a long-range shot from Kaio Nóbrega, which the goalkeeper parried over the goal. In another good attack, Kaio backheeled the ball and almost found Alan Santos in the area, but the defense cleared it. Before the end of the first half, Léo Nannetti made another good save from a shot on the right.

At the start of the second half, just 5 minutes in, Ryan Roberto made a play down the left flank after a rebound from an Alan Santos free-kick and was fouled, resulting in a penalty. Guilherme took a powerful shot high into the net, extending the lead. Douglas Telles made a play down the right and shot across goal, forcing a save from the Bahia goalkeeper in the 33rd minute. In the following attack, Leo Nannetti made a great pass to Ramires. The ball reached Daniel Sales who crossed into the box, but it was deflected by the defense and the goalkeeper made the save.

Vitória tried to take the initiative and had more possession, while Flamengo sought to steal the ball to score a fourth goal. Even so, Flamengo had the last two shots of the game. In the 49th minute, Douglas Telles shot powerfully over the goal after a good play by the Argentinian midfielder Sayago, and before the end of the match, Ryan Roberto attempted another chip shot, but the ball went high over the end line.
