Flamengo wins the Metropolitan Under-14 and the Edilson Silva Under-11 tournaments.

Flamengo teams win against Vasco and Botafogo, respectively. Check out the results for the under-13, under-11, and under-16 categories.

Last weekend was decisive for Flamengo's youth categories. The young Flamengo players won the titles of the Metropolitan Sub-14 and the Edilson Silva Cup Sub-11. The U-12 and U-13 teams lost on penalties and finished second in the same competitions, the first in the Metropolitan and the second in the Edilson Silva. The finals were played last Sunday (23), at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, in Gávea.

In the Metropolitan Under-14 final, Flamengo's youth team drew 1-1 with Vasco, with Jean scoring the winning goal from a penalty kick. The 1-0 victory in the first leg, at the Nivaldo Pereira Stadium in Austin, in the Baixada Fluminense region, gave Flamengo the title on aggregate. The goal for Vasco was scored by Kauã Lucas.

The title in the Edílson Silva Under-11 Cup came with two victories over Botafogo. After winning the first match 3-0, with goals from Papa Dame (2) and Murilo, on the field adjacent to the Nilton Santos Stadium, Flamengo won again, this time 3-2, to take the cup. Brayan Sá, Miguel Gama and Diego Maciel scored in the decisive match.

The two second-place finishes were decided by penalty shootouts. In the Metropolitan Under-13 tournament, both finals between Flamengo and Fluminense ended in a goalless draw. In the penalty shootout, the opponent prevailed 5-4. In the Edilson Silva Under-12 tournament, both matches also ended in draws. After a 0-0 draw in the first leg, the teams were evenly matched again, this time with a 2-2 score. In the penalty shootout, Flamengo won 3-1.

Under-16 category

The under-16 category competed in the M2 Sports Cup, in São João de Boavista, in the interior of São Paulo, and finished in first place in the Silver Series after winning 1-0 against Serrano, from Petrópolis. João Vitor scored the winning goal. They played seven games in seven days, with four wins, two draws, and one loss.
