Flamengo's under-20 boys took to the field on Wednesday afternoon (27.03), at 15:30 pm, for the first leg of the Guanabara Junior Cup semifinals. The team played as the first-place team in the qualifying phase in the match against Nova Iguaçu, who finished fourth, at their opponent's home ground. The boys drew 1-1, with a goal from Caio Quiroga.

Under the rain, the teams played a hard-fought game, but left Jânio Moraes Stadium with the score tied. The second leg will take place next Saturday (March 29.03th) at Nivaldo Pereira Stadium, where the Rubro-Negro has been playing its games due to renovations to the Gávea stadium's field. As the Mais Querido finished higher in the points-based phase of the first round of the U-20 Carioca Championship, the team will advance to the finals if they draw again in the second leg.
