In the final round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship qualifying round, Flamengo defeated Athletico-PR 4-1 at the Caju Training Center in Curitiba, Paraná. The goals for Flamengo were scored by Ryan Luka, Gabriel Barros, Peralta, and Igor Jesus. With the result, Flamengo secured first place in the championship qualifying round with 39 points.

The game
The Boys from the Nest started the match looking to attack and exchange passes in the attacking half. The red-and-black team pressed Athletico's ball out, which struggled to get past the midfield. In the 13th minute, the Paraná team opened the scoring with number nine Rômulo Cardoso, after an individual play in the box: 1-0.

Flamengo reacted quickly and leveled the score in the 21st minute! Kayke David made a good run down the right side of the box and passed it to the middle. Ryan Luka appeared well positioned in the six-yard box and simply tapped it into the goal: 1-1. Soon after, Flamengo turned the score around! Gabriel Barros received the ball in the box and fired a powerful shot into the goalkeeper's right corner: 2-1. In the 43rd minute, Paralta took a shot that went just wide of the post. The first half ended with the Mais Querido (Flamengo) in the lead.

Early in the second half, Pedro Arthur made a great run down the left and crossed into the box. The ball fell to Peralta, who slotted it home: 3-1. Even with a comfortable lead, the Boys from the Nest didn't slow down and continued to press under pressure, making it difficult for Athletico to get the ball out.

In the 16th minute, Igor Jesus capitalized on a cross into the box and scored Mengão's fourth goal, making it 4-1. Flamengo continued to attack and created more opportunities to extend their lead. In the final minutes, Flamengo held on to the result and finished the Brazilian qualifying round in first place.

The Most Beloved will face Vasco da Gama in the quarterfinals of the competition.
