And Flamengo won once again in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. In a postponed match from the first round of the competition (the team was still competing in the Libertadores), the Garotos do Ninho beat Cuiabá 3-0 this Sunday at Gávea.

Pedro Leão, the team's top scorer this year with 9 goals (7 in the Copa Rio and 2 in the Brasileirão), Lorran and Fabiano left their mark. 

With the result, the red-black team now has 6 points in 4 games (2 wins and 2 losses) and is in 10th place. 

Next appointment:

Mengão will return to the field next Wednesday (9), in a game valid for the fifth round. The opponent on that occasion will be América-MG, at 15 pm, in Gávea.

The game:

Aware of the importance of recovering the points lost in the first two rounds, "Mais Querido" managed to score in the first minute. In a quick move through the middle, Guilherme provided a good assist for Pedro Leão. The striker, in excellent form, beat the opposing goalkeeper and made it 1-0. 

Concerned about the lightning goal, the Cuiabá team had to further strengthen its defense. In the 29th and 30th minutes, Flamengo threatened again with two very similar shots from Lorran.

After the break, Leonardo Ramos's team made two substitutions: Wanderson (booked) and Guilherme were replaced by Carbone and Pablo. Under a downpour, Flamengo nearly scored a second goal when Shola hit the crossbar.

In the 31st minute, a stunning goal from Lorran. The number 10 received a beautiful pass from Rafael Couto, entered the box unmarked, and placed the ball into the goalkeeper's right corner.

At 46, Fabiano scored the third and closed the account on the rainy afternoon.
