The ball rolled this Good Friday morning for the continuation of the Rio de Janeiro State Championship in the U-15 and U-17 categories. With a goal from Kaio Gomes in the 45th minute of the second half, the "Garotos do Ninho" defeated Fluminense and maintained their 100% record in the U-17 category. In the U-15 category, the red-and-black team was defeated 2-1 by the Tricolor. The matches were part of the 6th round of the Guanabara Cup.

The Flamengo-Flu U17 match started off fairly evenly, without many scoring opportunities. The best chances of the first half fell to the opponent, who created one of them quite dangerously in the 31st minute. Flamengo got their revenge late in the first half, heading over the bar after a corner kick.

The heroic away victory came with a goal in the final minutes of the match, a move by Davi Waisman from the right, who crossed perfectly for striker Kaio Gomes, who came on in the second half. In stoppage time, Flamengo almost scored a second goal, but Jhefinho was stopped by goalkeeper Daniel. Flamengo achieved its sixth victory in six games and trails Botafogo, who leads due to a better goal difference, with the same 18 points.

The Boys of Ninho now have the key to the semifinals of the U-17 Brazil Cup, against Vasco da Gama. The first leg is scheduled for next Tuesday (22), at 16 pm, at the Luso-Brasileiro Stadium. While for the Carioca, Flamengo will have another match against Vasco da Gama, on the 26th, at 10 am, in Gávea.

In the Fla-Flu Sub-15, after a good start, with a goal from Gui Queiroz in the 17th minute of the game, Rubro-Negro suffered the comeback and, despite showing great effort on the field, ended up being defeated by 2 to 1. Flamengo remains with 13 points, but lost the third place to Botafogo, who won 5 to 0 against Maricá, at home.
