Flamengo's youth team defeated Olaria this Saturday at Rua Bariri and qualified for the semifinals of the Guanabara Cup in that category. Led by coach Cleber dos Santos, the "Molecada da Gávea" (The Young People's Team) struggled a bit, but managed a stunning comeback, winning the match 3-2. The goals for "Mais Querido" were scored by Digão, Douglas Baggio, and Fernando.

With this result, Mengão's U-20 team secured second place in Group B of the Guanabara Cup and will face Botafogo in the semifinals at Caio Martins Stadium. Besides having a strong campaign, the team also boasts the Carioca's top scorer. Forward Douglas Baggio has already found the net eight times and is the undisputed top scorer.

With the end of the classification phase, Group B of Guanabara ended with Fluminense in the lead with 22 points, followed closely by Flamengo with 21. In Group A, Botafogo came first with 18 points, followed by Madureira with 16.
