The game began with intense effort, with concentrated plays in midfield and few scoring chances. Despite having more possession, Fluminense couldn't create any real threat in attack. Nothing significant happened until the water break. Soon after, however, Flamengo scored a stunning goal. Leonardo Gabriel crossed from the right and Davi Fraga scored with a backheel in the 27th minute.

The advantage in the score allowed the red-and-black team to grow in the match and have a greater offensive presence. However, it was the opponent who created danger just before the referee blew the final whistle.

After the break, Fluminense equalized in the second minute, their second attempt at attacking, from a corner kick. The second half remained without significant attacking moves until the opponent scored again in the 2th minute.

Mengão equalized in the 22nd minute, with a well-worked play by Davi Fraga, who set up Zé Eduardo to cross to Leonardo Gabriel's head. The ball ended up in the goalkeeper's left corner.

The goal was a huge boon for Zé Eduardo. In another quick attack, defender Samuel released number 25, who assisted the equalizer, who raced down the right and slotted past the goalkeeper to score Flamengo's third goal in the 29th minute.

Four minutes later, Zé Eduardo missed a fantastic chance, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, who saved with his foot. In the final play of the match, Leonardo Gabriel missed another chance one-on-one with the Tricolor goalkeeper.
